2024 Year 6 Third Prize
Match Girl Strike by Isabella

Bang, Clash, Boom!
The noise was heard all around the room.
The owner stomped and p0unded at one girl,
Since she did a little twirl.

Get out the door,
You’re here for no more.
The girl was very tired,
While wondering why she got fired.

The owner looked like he was going to bite,
So the girl was in fright.
When she got home she led down,
And on her face was a frown.

Late that night,
She started a fight.
“I’m on strike”, she chanted,
Soon they were close to getting what they wanted.

They stayed in their strike pose,
Until the moon rose.
